Multi Liqueur Coffee


Coffee Manhattan

  • 1-1/2 oz. brewed strong coffee, cooled to room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons whiskey
  • 1 tablespoons sweet vermouth
  • dash aromatic bitters
  • crushed ice

Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Strain into a stemmed cocktail glass. If you like you can substitute brandy for the whiskey. For something extra, garnish with maraschino cherry.

Orange Coffee Cocktail

Add a little citrus zest to your cup, with some orange vodka. You might be surprised at how well orange blends with coffee. It's both tangy and mellow.

  • 1 cup of coffee
  • 1 1/2 shots of Kahlua
  • 1 shot of orange vodka

Stir coffee, Kahlua and vodka together in a mug or glass. Top with whipped cream, if desired.

Praline Coffee

Creamy and sweet like hot cocoa, but this coffee cocktail is flavoured with praline liquor. The spirits give it the taste of candied nuts.

  • 3 cups hot coffee
  • 3/4 half 'n half
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 praline liqueur

Combine everything but the praline liqueur and heat through, until sugar dissolves. Add liqueur and serve. Serves 4.

Chocolate Hazelnut Coffee

An elegant coffee and chocolate cocktail, served in a warm wine glass. Share this with a partner for a relaxing drink by the fireplace.

  • 10 oz. brewed coffee, hot
  • 1 oz. chocolate liqueur
  • 1 oz. hazelnut liqueur

In a warm 12-oz. wine glass, mix coffee and liqueurs. Top with a sprinkling of cocoa powder.

Cafe Nero

An unusual recipe, and you'll have to approximate the quantities for this coffee and Galliano cocktail. The flaming process makes this a dramatic cocktail for a party, though you might want to practice first.

  • Galliano
  • sugar
  • lime juice
  • hot coffee

Rim a glass with sugar, then coat the inside of the glass with sugar and lime juice. Fill the glass halfway with Galliano and light it. Twirl the glass slowly to melt and caramelize the sugar. Fill the rest of the glass with hot coffee.

Black Gold

Now this is quite a coffee cocktail. You'll need a stocked bar to make Black Gold. Five different spirits make for a powerful drink. It's a bit sweet with a nutty taste, thanks to the Amaretto and hazelnut liqueur.

  • 4 oz. coffee, hot
  • 1/4 oz. Triple Sec
  • 1/4 oz. Amaretto
  • 1/4 oz. Irish Cream
  • 1/4 oz. hazelnut liqueur
  • Dash of cinnamon Schapps

Stir all ingredients to combine and serve in a mug with whipped cream.

Nose Warmer

A whole concoction of liqueurs will provide more flavour than you're used to in a coffee cocktail. A cup of this will warm more than your nose.

  • 1/4 oz. Tia Maria
  • 1/4 oz. Frangelica
  • 1/4 oz. Baileys
  • 1/4 oz. Grand Marnier
  • 1 cup hot coffee

Combine ingredients in a mug and serve.

Night in Florida

A potent mix of different tastes in this coffee cocktail. This is a popular party drink.

  • 3/4 cup coffee
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Kahlua
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Frangelico
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Grand Marnier
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Bailey's Irish Cream

Mix the liqueurs together, then add to hot coffee. Top with whipped cream, if desired and serve.

English Coffee

  • 3 oz. premium, dark roast, medium ground coffee
  • 1 oz. Kahlua
  • 1 oz. Amaretto
  • 1 oz. Tia Maria
  • 1 oz. Dark Cream de Cacao

Brew the coffee, add the liqueurs and serve topped with whipped cream.

Midnight Mozart

  • 3 oz. premium, dark roast, medium ground coffee
  • 1 oz. Kahlua
  • 1 oz. Mozart

Brew the coffee, add the liqueurs and serve topped with whipped cream.

Cafe Gates

  • 3 oz. premium, dark roast, medium ground coffee
  • 1 oz. Tia Maria
  • 1 oz. Grand Marnier
  • 1 oz. Dark Creme de Cacao

Mix all ingredients and serve topped with whipped cream.

Swiss Coffee

  • 3 oz. premium, dark roast, medium ground coffee
  • 1 oz. Kahlua
  • 1 oz. Amaretto
  • 1 oz. Tia Maria
  • 1 oz. Dark Cream de Cacao
